The UK Pensions Framework - Paper 4 Sustainability Concept & Content

This paper presents a more detailed discussion on what sustainability means in the context of the UK pension system. It expands upon the introduction provided in the Main Report. The Main Report offers a detailed insight into the context, structure and content of the Framework, what the Framework is, why it is needed and how it has been designed. An abridged version is provided in the Executive Summary and Illustrative Case Study. Further examination of the concepts underpinning analysis of Adequacy and Fairness, along with their proposed content indicators, is provided in two further supporting papers.
