PPI Supporting Members Event 2010: Election Briefing Event
The PPI held its annual event for PPI Supporting Members and their guests on 2 March 2010. The event provided an opportunity for the invited audience to hear spokespeople from the three main political parties in the UK outline their policies on pensions and retirement provision ahead of the UK’s 2010 general election and to debate the implications of the policies.
The speakers included Angela Eagle MP, Labour Minister for Pensions and the Ageing Society, Nigel Waterson MP, Conservative MP and Shadow Minister for Pensions and Older People and Steve Webb MP, Liberal Democrat MP and Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions. The event was chaired by Nick Timmins, Public Policy Editor of the FT. The seminar was kindly hosted by BlackRock and was attended by over 100 people.
The PPI prepared a short briefing note summarising the key policies of the three main political parties. Click here to download the briefing note 55.
