Danielle Baker

Head of Membership & External Engagement -

Operations Team

Danielle joined the Pensions Policy Institute (PPI) in February 2014 as Membership & Fundraising Manager. Prior to working for the PPI, Danielle worked for a large professional body managing the London Region. She has been working within the charity sector for nearly 15 years. Prior to moving into the charity sector, Danielle worked within the Recruitment industry for just under 15 years, progressing from a Consultant to Regional Manager for London and Kent.

At the PPI Danielle is responsible for a variety of aspects of the Institute’s activities including, managing the delivery of all PPI events, managing the Institute’s PR & marketing, developing the PPI’s brand, dissemination of all research produced across various outlets including PPI Supporters, media, Government and education. She is also the PPI’s press contact and manages the Team’s interaction with media and participation at external events.

Danielle also has responsibility for the PPI’s Supporters Scheme and works closely with the PPI Funding Committee, developing and maintaining the Institute's funding strategy.

Since joining the PPI Danielle has successfully introduced our new Associate Supporters Category, which has allowed the Institute to engage with a different area of the industry. She was also instrumental in the development and launch of the PPI’s Knowledge Sharing Seminars: an introduction to the UK Pensions System and has been delighted to see them grow in popularity and to become a staple of organisations’ induction process for their new starters.

In her spare time Danielle enjoys going to the theatre, spending time with her family and volunteering at a local animal rescue charity.
